My dude is super smart to identify a romance scam, yet he himself fell for it. It's not because the scammer was any good really. He had a hard hunch about it, but just wanted to for once believe it was true. He probably bluffs about his romances back then because maybe they were true and those were his glory days, but those days might've been no more because of his short spanned relationships. He was not scammed by thousands or hundreds by any means. So far of all the cases I've seen I'm surprised he is even on this one. He is just your average internet user that probably knows the dangers of the internet and scammers, but couldn't resist the temptation of the thrill of something new and mysterious. It's just a shame that the internet nowadays is riddled with scammers that already know how to use the latest technology to fool people with lower computer literacy. But I believe this was not the case, he is smarter than this, and I truly hope he can recover from it and find true companionship one day.

I have no sympathy for the guy. He could have looked for a woman his age. When a woman falls for a man who is 30 years younger she gets tons of derogative comments and is told that she's delusional. The video clip dropped off .... well, the one I got from Nigeria (they guy named Ibrahim said he was the blond girl from Iceland living here is still waiting for the money he asked for 30 years ago, some things never change) was a loop, a few seconds repeated endlessly. The woman in the short clip I see is not the same as in the profile - that much must be obvious to even a blind guy with Alzheimer's in the third grade.
